I made this pakoda when I had leftover rice,amma asked me to make vadams but since the day was gloomy and dull,I understood it was not the right day to dry vadams. So changed my mind to make these rice pakodas and yes I wanted to have a post too 😀 Rice Pakora is usually made using leftover rice and it is a wonderful snack item made with besan/chickpea flour and rice. The rice that we use to make this snack could be leftover rice or we can freshly cook the rice to make these rice vadas. Rice pakora step by step
- Smash the rice until the smooth and add potatoes also..
- Add salt litbit,garam masala powder, tomato pieces green chilli, onion pieces,mix well keep in a side..
- Now chana Dal boil it with salt and turmeric powder..
- Take a pan add oil put the Dal Cummin powder,tomato pieces,salt, green chilli,and cooked it well.
- Take the rice dough,make semi circle and put the Dal in the middle and cover it and shape it as you like..
- Now put in the poppy seeds.
- Take a pan and oil and fry it well.
- Now it's time for serving thank you..
Mix well and heat the oil for deep frying. When the oil is hot, make small portions of the rice mixture and put them in the hot oil. Deep fry them on both sides till golden brown and drain in a kitchen towel. Cooked rice is mixed with veggies and spices and is deep fried. The rice pakoras come out very crispy and is a perfect way to make use of that little leftover rice.
